A Time When God Is Pronounced Jeezes

By Luisa Sharpe

New scientific discoveries and innovations are changing the conventional notion of the almighty. A debate has been going on in religious circles regarding the new trend where God is pronounced Jeezes. Religion is no longer considered the ultimate truth and is now seen as unable to offer all answers. The debate continues to gain momentum and generate heat in different continents. There is a seeming rebellion against conventional religious theology.

The discussions on the new understanding of deity are being carried out through online videos, blogs, books and particular platforms. The question of death has steered the debate in a new direction. Death of a young man or woman becomes a bigger puzzle considering the suffering that those left behind under go. This taints the image of goodness and mercy that is associated with gods. It is contrary to the notion of universal good.

Death of a young parent opens a new painful chapter for those who remain. The spouse is left in loneliness while the children are denied the joy of living with both parents. Such an incidence sees the death of many dreams that were anchored on the young life. The scenario is hard to explain especially for traditional theologians. It is against the traditional understanding that God cares about everyone.

Evil people have been said to life longer and enjoy a comfortable life as well. This is at the expense of good people who undergo a lot of suffering. Natural justice would dictate otherwise. The evil keep harassing the poor and underprivileged but the almighty does not intervene. This is a big scare that cannot be explained in simple terms. Different theologians have tried to explain such scenarios to no avail.

The pastor at the center of this debate is Jeeves who cites the trouble of Job as documented in the book by the same title. The Old Testament gives a story of a person who lost all his possessions including children. In his words, Jeeves says that God was preparing Job for greater glory through suffering and therefore humanity should not loose faith in Him on such account.

The notion that God is perfect has become another point of contention. This is a claim that runs across religions in all societies. Those opposed to the notion claim that the idea would make sense if calamities like floods and earthquakes would stop causing immense suffering as they do. They take innocent lives with unfulfilled dreams.

Debate still ranges on the opposing theories of evolution and creation. These notions continue to crack in the face of fresh scientific discoveries. The discoveries have heralded a new scenario where religion seems to contradict known truths. The younger generation which has access to a lot of information is becoming inquisitive and restless. The facts that are available to them do not support conventional religious teachings. They are part of the greater force behind the Jeezes movement.

The shift in theological perspectives is affecting traditional sense of God. It is causing a total dismantling and an apparent creation of a more conforming being. Scholars in both ends continue to exchange punches on who is right and who is wrong in the debate with no end in sight.
