Jewish Christian Interfaith Wedding Is A Wonderful Thing

By Carl Butler

The importance of marriage must never be underestimated at any moment in time. It is one of the most beautiful things in the world. It is something great when a man and a woman live together, united by the bonds of love and within the confines of marriage. What is even greater is a Jewish Christian interfaith wedding. This shows that two people of two different faiths can actually fall in love and end up marrying. As a matter of fact, love knows no color. It also knows no creed, education level, or even race. That is the beauty of love.

The day of marriage is one of the best days of life. Most people usually look forward to the day when they will get married. That day is just as important as the day of birth. Actually, it marks the start of a new life. As the scriptures say, a man will leave his parents and be connected in marriage to a woman.

It is always great to overcome the religious barrier. Religion is something wonderful that should be used to make the world to become a better place. Religion should not divide. Instead, it should unite. There is totally no need to fight over religion because most religions have a lot in common. The Torah is similar to the Bible in some ways.

The days of marrying based on race or religion are over. In the past, mixed marriages were hard to come by. However, nowadays, they are actually the order of the day. That is because human beings have become more open and civilized. A Christian is free to marry a believer of Judaism. People need to learn to build bridges instead of walls.

Actually, the marriage between a Christian believer and a Jew has a high probability of working out even from a religious standpoint. That is because these two religions share more similarities than differences. The major point of difference is of course the New Testament. However, in both these faiths, there is a very strong emphasis for family values.

The family is the bedrock of society. A strong society is the product of strong families. When people ignore family values, there will be a broken society. The family institution is as old as time. Also, it will not end any time soon. Adam and Eve were the first husband and wife. They were the first humans to inhabit planet earth.

Marriage should not be formed on the foundation of race, tribe, or religion. It totally does not make sense to marry someone just because he belongs to a particular race or religion. One should marry out of love. Real love will facilitate a lasting relationship. Apart from love, a couple should also have shared interests. One should enjoy being around his lover.

An interfaith wedding is something wonderful. In the modern day world, people usually marry individuals of different cultures and beliefs. Actually, the world is becoming a global village. That is due to the power of the World Wide Web. Because of the power of the internet, one can easily interact with people from other countries. As a matter of fact, internet dating is the order of the day.
